Drafting & planning: Investigating typography

In class today we were given this sheet with different types of typography, and we were asked to rank them in order according to how effective it is on the magazine cover.
In my opinion i think E's typography is the most effective out of them because the bold text stands out and it keeps in the theme of the magazines house style and it fits in with the masthead, also the bold text helps to reflect the main image of Christina as the image is bold and grabs the readers attention. However i chose to rank C to be the least effective typography on a magazine because it looks plain, doesn't fit in with the house style and doesn't look smart or professional. I have rank D as 5th because it i quite hard to read meaning that the reader will be less likely to pick up the magazine, also the text looks dated which goes against the magazines style. I ranked B as second because i thought that the bold first letter in each word fits in the magazine style however i ranked it as second because of the fact that the text you cant clearly read all of the word, as part of it is in the shadow part of the main image.
